Savoring every bite...

Right now I'm eating my first spoonful of ice cream since Thanksgiving...Heaven! It tastes a little old because it's been sitting in the freezer for months while I've been on my non-dairy diet, and I think Paul didn't dare eat any without me because he didn't want to see what would happen. It still tastes amazing though and I'm not quite sure how I lasted so long without even one bite. Sure hope my T-man knows how much I'm willing to sacrifice for him! :) I've timed it so that the ice cream won't affect my milk before Trevor eats again tonight, so if dairy does still bug him he won't start acting fussy until tomorrow morning- and then I'll be able to handle it because of a good night of sleep and the memory of a cold bowl of chocolate goodness!

Valentine's Day

We had the best Valentine's day ever this year!! Paul planned the whole day and surprised us by picking us up for lunch and then spending the rest of the day with us. We felt so loved that he would take time off of work to hang out with us. He even made us dinner- his amazing crepes! I'm so grateful to have such a sweet husband who loves to spend time with us!
Here are some pictures of my little angels in their day-of-love attire:

Here are some random pictures of Lyla- my little dancing princess. She serious dances for hours every day, and she'll dance to any kind of music like the primary songs or the little ABC toy we have. Sometimes I make up silly songs to distract her or to entertain Trevor and then Lyla makes me sing them over and over while she dances along.

One of her favorites is when Belle wears a scarf over her head and says "no sir, not me, I guarantee it. I want much more than this provincial life". She'll run around the house wearing this scarf and singing that part of the song over and over. She can't quite pronounce guarantee- it's pretty cute to hear her.

I love to dance and sing all day with my little ball of energy. She can be completely stubborn and difficult but she is also just so much fun! Lyla is officially potty trained now which I'm so excited about! I've been dreading that process since she was born, but she has done really well and it's been a lot easier than I was expecting. Hooray for less diapers to change!!

My baby is 4 months old!

My tiny baby has grown into a big 4 month old! As usual, time has gone by very quickly! We had his dr. appointment yesterday and here are his stats:
Height: 25 1/2 inches (60%), Weight: 15 pounds (45%), Head: 43 cm (80%)

One day Lyla and I were playing a colors game and we looked over to see Trevor with a very proud look on his face because he had managed to steal Lyla's favorite Belle doll.

Trevor just adores his sister! Whenever she's in the room he can't take his eyes off of her. She can make him smile and laugh faster than anyone else.
She loves to grab his little hand and hold it.

Don't tell Grandpa Rumsey, but Trevor uses a pink bumbo...

Trevor is slowly starting to sleep through the night.  He goes down for the night at 7 and then I feed him at 10. He actually had two nights this week when he slept straight until 6 and I was in heaven! I've started eating chocolate again and he seems to be fine, so I'm going to try dairy soon and I'm hoping it doesn't bug him anymore. He's started having more fussy periods when he just wants to be held and entertained so I'm trying to be better at stopping what I'm doing to play with him. I love my little man!
